Everything you'd want to ask before booking.
Booking a private boat day in another country deserves clear answers. If yours isn't here, WhatsApp the captain directly.
Booking & payment
How do I book a boat tour with Master Boat Charter?
+
Pick a date and a slot on the booking page (about 2 minutes). You'll get a confirmation by email and WhatsApp within 2 hours. No card is required at this stage — payment is by bank transfer or cash on the day.
Do I need to pay in advance?
+
No. Reservations are confirmed without a deposit. We trust our guests and we ask for the same in return — cancel at least 72h before if your plans change.
What's your cancellation policy?
+
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before departure. Within 72 hours we propose a reschedule subject to availability. If the captain cancels for weather reasons, a full refund or free reschedule is always offered.
How quickly do you confirm a booking?
+
Within 2 hours during operating hours (8 AM – 8 PM Seychelles time, UTC+4).
Can I book a private group of 12 or more?
+
Our boat holds 10 guests. For larger parties we coordinate with a partner boat — message the captain on WhatsApp and we'll arrange it.
On the boat
Is there a toilet onboard?
+
Yes — a marine toilet with a door, for all guests.
Are drinks and food included?
+
Drinks (water, soft drinks, beer) are included on every trip. Full-day excursions include a beach barbecue — grilled fish, salads, fresh fruit. For specific dietary needs, tell us at booking.
Do you provide snorkeling gear?
+
Yes — masks, snorkels and fins in all sizes. Bring your own if you prefer.
Is the boat covered from the sun?
+
Yes, a full T-top covers the cockpit. The bow is open for swimmers and sun lovers.
Is there Wi-Fi onboard?
+
No, but the captain carries a mobile hotspot for emergencies and shared photos.
Wildlife, weather & practical
Can we see sea turtles?
+
Very often — hawksbill turtles are present year-round at our snorkeling sites around Curieuse, Coco and St-Pierre. Greens nest seasonally on protected beaches.
When can we see whale sharks?
+
August to October is the peak season around the inner islands. Outside that window sightings are rare; the captain will be honest if it's not the right time.
What about seasickness?
+
Inside the inner islands the sea is generally calm and protected. For big game fishing the swell is larger — we advise based on the day's forecast and can adapt the route.
Can children come on board?
+
Yes. The boat is family-friendly, with life jackets in every size and shaded areas. Tell us the ages of children at booking and we'll prepare accordingly.
What happens if the weather is bad?
+
We reschedule at no cost, or refund in full if no alternative date works. The captain decides based on safety, not bookings.
What should I bring?
+
Reef-safe sunscreen, towel, swimwear, hat, a light layer for the return. We provide everything else — snorkeling gear, drinks, food on full-day trips, flotation gear, first aid.
